Original Size: approximately 11" x 17", Medium: Acrylics
This is another Batman piece I created as a sample cover for DC Comics a while ago. Like the others of him, with this work I experimented and varied his look. I was still going for an angular, bulky look to make him seem as powerful and as menacing as possible. There are many other pieces I've done using other comic characters, but since I have quite a few of Batman (one of my favorites...), I figure I'd get a few more of them posted first! |

I would like to give you personal art lessons, but I think I'd be too distracted by your looks (Compliment to ya...just being cute...with much respect!) But seriously, If you would like to start painting, I would suggest getting an basic acrylic set (some excellent, inexpensive student colors can be found at your local Aaron Brothers Art Mart, Michael's Craftshop, etc.) They also have some good beginner books there. Or you can go to your local library and find some cool painting technique books. Don't worry about 'absorbing' all of the ideas. Just have fun and experiment and you'll see what works best for you.
